Optical Illusion by shape

Everyone (whether they want to or not) dreams. Even animals dream. Cats, for example, twitch their ears or flick their tails while dreaming, which is known as ‘reaction.’ Darkness can also make humans feel creepy, which is proof that imagination is at work in us.

We perceive objects in our own way by sight. “The way of seeing things” is influenced by our perceptual mechanism based on our own experiences, which allow us to find recognizable shapes even from abstract shapes. This is why we sometimes see ‘images’ in random patterns. Imagination plays a crucial role in the interpretation of art. 

인간은 누구나 원하든 그렇지 않든 꿈을 꾼다. 동물들도 꿈을 꾼다고 한다. 

고양이가 자면서 귀를 씰룩거리거나 꼬리를  잡아채거나 하는 게 꿈에 대한 반사작용이라고 한다. 인간을 포함한 모든 동물은 깨어있을 때면  ‘사물을 본다.’

‘사물을 본다.’는 행위에 인식된 작용에 따라서 우리는 컴컴한 공간에선 별다른 이유도 없이 등에 소름이 돋기도 한다. 이러한 행동들은 바로 인간에게 상상력이 작용하고 있다는 증거 일 것이다. 그런 것들을 말로써 주고받는다면 하나의 이야기가 만들어지고, 붓으로 표현한다면 그림을 그리게 되는 것이다. 

상상한다는 것, 그것은 우리의 마음 속에서 하나의 이미지를 만들어낸다는 것이 아닐까?
